The Good and Bad side of Hamsters

I'm going to take a moment to address the issue of .... HAMSTERS :D. It seems lately I've been wanting to spend my Neobux and Clixsense profits on buying a hamster.

So I did some research.

Hamsters can be cute:

But hamsters can also be evil! This hamster below is eating its own babies.

That video also shows a hamster eating its babies.

So I weighed it. I have now earned almost $500 between Clixsense and Neobux. I could have made more, but final exams and studying got in the way, as well as hw. Oh well, lol. But yeah, with $500, I was planning on buying a $10 hamster, and I wagered its food and bedding would cost $50 for 3 months. Then the cage itself would cost $100.

But as cute as hamsters are, I don't really want it to eat its own babies :(, not sure I could live through that.

But here's why I wanted to buy a hamster:

1. They're as smart as dogs. They can learn their name and can do tricks. If you let them out of their cage, they will come back if you call them.

2. They're cleaner and less maintenance-requiring than dogs. I mean let's face it, they're in a cage, you don't need to walk them, and if you really wanted to, your room is ample enough walking area. They also don't eat as much as dogs :D

My sources for these two facts are ASPCA sites and PETA sites.

But should I get a hamster...? Hmm. I don't really know.

Update: Someone made $250,000 on Neo in just 6 years

Wow, well, just last week was Neobux's birthday and lots of the long-standing members posted their success stories. I was particularly amazed by this one: http://www.neobux.com/forum/?/5/420803/6-years-26350322-earned/

He's only 25 but has made $255,000 in the 6 years he's been on Neobux. I think I've been re-energized :) I'm going to push harder so I can make that much too!

Update: Made $15 today on Clisense

Quick update! I think I've figured out how to do these surveys more systematically. I made $15 today on Clixsense.

Here's a summary of my stats and a breakdown of what I made in the past few hours:

The surveys are really easy to take. The ones I do are usually 10 - 20 mins long. Theoretically, if you do surveys back to back, you can make $6 / hr on Clixsense.

Here's an example of the time breakdown:

I think I'm averaging around $20-$25 / 2-3 days, which isn't bad since it only takes me 1 hr 30 mins / day ( I rush through the surveys lol).

Definitely check Clixsense and Neobux out when you get the chance. It's really worth it if you're in college like me doing work-study with your laptop out. Or if you're bored and in high school without a job.

In 10 days I'm aiming to have $300 so I can buy a laptop or smartphone.

Today I was able to make $11 on Clixsense. It was a good day for me lol, all the surveys I took were only 15 or 5 mins long, and worth $2 each. Too bad I ran out of surveys :(.

I'm now netting about $4/day from Neobux but idk, it has its ups and downs.

I've also started checking out mturk.com. It's owned by Amazon, and it pays much better for Tasks than Clixsense or Neobux. The problem is, it's just boring and worse than surveys lol, you can make $1 per 20 mins from tasks as a noob. I made like $7, then stopped. Lots of things to consider with mturk though: they require your SSN and bank account to get paid. Also you have to be 18. Sooo that means no one in high school can sign up :(.

Anyway, with Mturk,  after you "level up" by doing more Tasks, they let you do the $5 / hr tasks, and once you get your "masters level" (after doing like 5000 tasks LOL), you can do the $35 / hr tasks. So yeah there are people who make $150 / day on mturk... but is it worth it to "level up"? I really really don't know.

Well that's all for now. Will update this as I go along.

My Story:

Well, if you're too young to get a real job, or if you're a fully-loaded full-time college student strapped for cash - there's great news. You can actually make money online, easy!

I was in the same situation one summer after finishing a rough semester. I didn't feel like getting into a summer job... so I decided to try to see if I could make money online.

I mainly did these two sites:
Clixsense
Neobux

I have written down all of my experience in trying to do so on my site here: http://jorel.atwebpages.com

On there, I've listed what I did, what resulted, and the things you should know about before diving in. Good advice, things to avoid, and things to definitely check out.

I recommend reading my experience first before trying to sign up for either site, just so that you know what you're getting into.
